Why The Community Care Club Was Created

The Community Care Club (CCC) is a small concept with big dreams. Over the past three years, letters and requests from various non-profit agencies have poured into our office. Although each request varied, their letters echoed a common theme. "Can we please come watch the TimberWolves play? We could only accommodate a small number of agencies, but we didn't want to limit the number of underprivileged people that expressed a desire to watch the Williams Lake TimberWolves play at the Cariboo Recreation Complex. This is why the Community Care Club was created.

The Community Care Club provides an excellent vehicle for local corporations and the TimberWolves to team up for the betterment of our community. Our idea is simple! With the help of local corporations throughout Williams Lake, physically and mentally challenged individuals, as well as unfortunate and economically disadvantaged youth are given the opportunity to participate in the Williams Lake TimberWolves Hockey Experience.

We have designated an area in the Cariboo Recreation Complex that is exclusive to non-profit groups participating in the Community Care Program. Through Community funded sponsorships, these seats will soon be filled with smiling children cheering on the TimberWolves for the very first time.
